“Nature continues
to be the ultimate inspiration for my paintings"

During my career as an
artist (40-some years) I have studied a little of everything, and continue to
be challenged. Change is a constant happening - it leads one's creativity to
expand and grow. My paintings are spontaneous. They begin as an abstract, and
sometimes evolve into landscapes, seascapes, or still life, but nevertheless
remain mostly abstract. My most recent
paintings have been acrylics, collage, and encaustics. Working on canvas with strong colors and an
uncomplicated palette has given me new freedom in composition and the use of
space.
